The City of Corpus Christi Police Training Academy is currently under construction on approximately five (5) acres off Yorktown Boulevard at Del Mar College’s new South Campus. The facility is designed at over 35,000 square feet and includes large training classrooms, administrative offices, resource room, research library, locker rooms, breakroom, armory, physical training spaces, an outdoor track, and secure patrol car parking. This new facility is designed to maintain the current DMC Phase 1A campus aesthetics for a unified and cohesive campus. The program is anticipated to be refined and verified to provide the design and construction of a facility that can be utilized not only for the training of cadets, but also as a Regional Police Training Academy.  In addition to to architectural and engineering services, TRA is providing complete Furniture, Fixture & Equipment (FF&E) coordination, selection, and bid package.

This new facility for the City of Corpus Christi Police Department. The building is approximately 35,000 sf total and includes large training classrooms, administrative offices, resource room, research library, locker rooms, breakroom, armory, physical training spaces, an outdoor track, and secure patrol car parking. NRG Engineering was responsible for the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing design. The building utilizes an air cooled chiller and a high efficiency natural gas boiler to provide cooling and heating throughout. A natural gas generator was designed for future installation.
